Ready To Burn certified
It sounds obvious that firewood should be 'ready to burn' but actually the logo you see on all our logs is a really important certification, and one we show with pride.
Only logs that have less than 20% moisture content can be certified 'Ready to Burn'.
ALL of our logs are guaranteed to have below 20%, in fact most of our firewood is nearer 10%.
Better for the environment, better for you
Dry logs are much better for the environment. Wet logs smoke when you burn them and release unwanted and harmful particles.
They are much more efficient - you get a lot more heat per log when they're dry.
They are much better for your stove and chimney - no nasty, damaging build-up from smoke.
Reducing damaging air pollutants
Ready to Burn certification is part of the UK's commitment in the Clean Air Strategy to reduce emissions of damaging air pollutants.
This is why it's so important to us that all our logs and firewood have this certification.
