Our kiln dried British oak is traditionally known as a great hardwood to burn, it has a high density means it offers a longer burn time with a high heat output. You can mix it with either birch or ash to help get the flames going, then sit back and enjoy a lovely a crackling fire with a traditional woody smell.

I am new to all this having only recently had my log burner installed. This was my second purchase from this company having started with the ash starter kit. I think this next box was birch and oak mixed. I just wish that for a complete newbie and I know this might sound ridiculous but I found it hard to distinguish the two especially the pieces that had no bark. I hope identifying the wood will come with experience? You can’t even go by weight in your hand as the piece size varies. Anyway apart from that it seems good / great packaging and delivery but I can’t comment on value for money just yet.
High quality wood, found the oak particularly good for heating a hot tub.
Delivery was supposed to be 1-2 but was Nearer 8 o’clock PM. The tracker did say running’slate but not that late. As. For the wood it’s fine, nice large chunks just what’s needed

Excellent quality and sensibly chopped size of logs suitable for an open fire. Burns brightly and gives great heat - makes the room glow!
