So, we only sell wood sourced from responsibly managed woodlands that is felled as an essential part of maintaining healthy and diverse forests.
It is out aim to be completely plastic free and operate to the highest environmental standards possible… and we’re nearly there already.
Supporting sustainable British forestry
All of our products are sourced from responsibly managed woodlands, and wherever possible we source from as close to home as we can. The majority of our wood is now sourced right here in Britain, mostly from South Downs National Park, just a few miles from Logpile HQ!
One new tree is planted for every one felled, making our logs a carbon-neutral renewable-energy source.
Natural and chemical free
We've recently stopped selling petroleum-based firelighters. Instead we now offer our 100% natural firelighters which are chemical free and totally brilliant for starting fires.
All of our wood is untreated and chemical free, as well as being kiln dried to reduce the release of harmful particles. Ready more about environmental impact here.
Reducing plastic waste
We're reducing our plastic usage wherever we can.
Our Little Logs, kindling and natural firelighters are packed in clever self-sealing, recyclable boxes that require no plastic packing tape.
We use paper tape to secure the boxes for all lighter products in our efforts to stop using nasty plastic tape.
